Recreation Registration 2012!
It’s time to sign your son or daughter up for one of our fall recreation teams. Over 1000 Novato boys and girls play NYSA soccer every year, so your children will see many of their school friends on teams already, and make many new friends along the way!
Our emphasis is on having fun, learning some great soccer, getting fresh air and healthy exercise, and taking home some lifelong values of teamwork and good sportsmanship. For more details on our in-person or online registration, click here. It’s going to be a great soccer season!

Referee Classes for Adults and Teens
NYSA is offering introductory (Level 8) referee classes for any parent or youth player (age 12 and up) who would like to be a referee at our rec and select games. It’s a fun way to really get yourself in the middle of the game! And many of our teens find it a great way to earn a little money as well.
There will be two series of classes -- beginning May 9 and July 16. Click here for more information, or click on the Referees tab above.
Help Haiti By Donating Used Soccer Gear
Trevor Brune, a 16-year old soccer player in the Tiburon youth soccer program, is organizing a collection of used cleats, shin guards, soccer balls, shorts and t-shirts for the 300 kids enrolled in the impoverished Port-au-Prince, Haiti youth soccer program.
You can help by dropping off your out-grown gear at a collection bin at All Season Soccer, 869 Grant Ave. (next to Old Town Sports). The store will offer a discount when you bring in used equipment for donation. Click here for a flyer with more information.
Welcoming Dixie Youth Soccer Select Players
NYSA and the Dixie Youth Soccer Association have chosen to merge our Competitive League programs for the upcoming 2012 season. This is an exciting opportunity that will better serve players from both of our clubs. We are especially honored in the trust and confidence that Dixie has placed in the strong program that NYSA has to offer. The inclusion of fresh talent will make this program even better.
Please welcome our new players and families and make them feel at home. All players will wear the "Novato green" uniforms and play under the Novato flag, and will fully be a part of Novato Youth Soccer.
Collegiate Soccer came to Novato on April 1
Men’s collegiate soccer came to Novato High School on April 1, 2012 when the Division I USF Dons met the San Francisco State Gators in a match hosted by Novato Youth Soccer. The Dons were coached by Head Coach (and NYSA Director of Coaching) Erik Visser while the Gators were coached by Joe Hunter, a recent NYSA boys coach. The spectators were rewarded with an exciting match that ended in a penalty kick shootout, in favor of USF.
